NDIS & Aged Care Home Modifications
Practical home modifications designed to improve accessibility, safety and independence at home.
Practical Changes for Safer, More Accessible Homes
My Coast Projects provides home modifications across the Central Coast for people living with disability, older Australians and anyone needing a safer or more accessible home.
We work with participants, families, occupational therapists, support coordinators and care professionals to understand the required modifications and provide a clear scope and quotation.

Services
Home Modification Services
Grab Rails and Handrails
Installation of grab rails and handrails to provide additional support in bathrooms, hallways, at steps and in other areas of the home. The location and type of rail can be based on an occupational therapist’s recommendations where these have been provided.
Ramps and Access Solutions
Practical access solutions for entrances, steps and changes in level. Each location is assessed to determine what may be suitable for the available space, required access and existing conditions.
Accessible Cabinetry
Custom cabinetry designed around the needs of the person using it. This may include accessible kitchens, modified storage, improved reach ranges, wheelchair clearance and cabinetry that is easier and safer to use.
Minor Home Modifications
Other practical modifications may include threshold solutions, access improvements, minor door and hardware changes, bathroom access adjustments and alterations that make everyday areas of the home easier to use.
All work is assessed against the required scope, site conditions and the licences needed for the work.

Working with participants and professionals
Working from the Right Information
Where an occupational therapist’s assessment, drawings or written recommendations are required, these should be completed before the work is finalised. My Coast Projects can review the supplied information, inspect the site where required and prepare a quotation for the proposed building or joinery work.
What can be submitted through the enquiry form:
- Occupational therapist reports or recommendations
- Scope of works
- Photos of the existing area
- Relevant measurements or drawings
- Participant, nominee or referrer contact details
- Quotation and funding requirements
Important funding information
Registration as an NDIS provider does not mean that a particular modification will automatically be funded or approved. Participants and customers are responsible for confirming that the required funding approval and service arrangements are in place before work begins.
Tell Us About the Required Modification
Send us the available scope, photos, reports or plans through our online enquiry form. We will review the information and advise whether the project is within our service and licence scope.
